There is a magic of waking up in the mountains - clear air, golden light and the anticipation of trekking. Following a hearty breakfast, we will drive to Jalori Pass located at an elevation of 3,120 meters that is to become the base of our adventurous quest today.

In Jalori we take up our trek to the Serolsar Lake, this is a beautiful trail that takes us through forests of oak and pine trees. As we continue into the forest, the small pathway opens up to wonderful mountain sceneries. You will go through some lovely pasturing land, some lovely wildflowers, some beautiful ruins of old muck cottages - a silent memorial of life in the highlands.

This trek should last about 5-6 hours, and there are a lot of peaceful spots on the way. Having passed the dense forest belt we reach the enchanted lake Serolsar, with a small, scenic temple. Find time to relax, take stock of photos, and even have a steaming cup of coffee in the small cafe alongside the lake.

On our way back to Jalori, we get to see the sunset coloring the sky with golden tinges. Go back to the homestay at night where one can rest, tell stories and probably sing some local folk songs by the fire with your trek leaders.

As we arrive at the beautiful hamlet of Jibhi, we will check-in to the hotel and have some rest. Jibhi snuggled in the arms of the lush Himachal greenery will be the ideal place to settle down.

In the afternoon we shall see some local sightseeing. The first site is the secluded Jibhi Waterfall located in the middle of pinewood and moss rocks - you could literally spend the day there and enjoy the beauty of nature and the feeling of calm. We will also visit the local markets, which are kind of cozy, and do a cafe hopping, visiting cozy cafes that offer everything, including Himalayan teas or warm evening meals with a view.

We will have a bonfire as the sun goes down and the mountain cold creeps up on us (weather permitting). Relax by the fireside, tell tales and enjoy your time together with the group in various entertaining activities to strengthen bonds and have long-lasting memories.

Back to the hotel, there awaits a warm dinner, and then you will settle in a comfy night stay in Jibhi to get fresh and prepare to unleash more adventures.

Breakfast

Details

Like all good things must end, we finish our Jibhi road trip on the last day with our hearts full of memories and a soul yet to be satisfied by adventures. With an exquisite breakfast, we check out of our stay and drive towards Kullu to have a final dose of adrenaline-filled action- River Rafting in the gigantic Beas River.

The icy water of the Himalaya presents a fun of Grade I to Grade III rapids, an adventure that is thrilling as well as empowering. Be it your first rafting experience or your hundredth, you will never leave the roars of the river, the splash of the waves and the raft cohesion without that high feeling.

Drying ourselves off and recounting our rafting adventures, we will take off to enjoy a self sponsored dinner on the way before setting off on our overnight trip back to Delhi and reaching the next morning.

Jibhi is renowned for its luscious green scenery and magnificent waterfalls within pine trees. The region offers some of the greatest walking trails with breathtaking views of the Great Himalayan peaks. Jalori Pass, Kullu, Raghupur Fort, Jibhi Waterfalls, Jibhi Valley, and Serolsar Lake are just a few of the amazing tourist destinations there.

In Jibhi, it does occasionally snow during the winter months of January and February. Aside from that, you will experience heavy snowfall and plenty of snow as you travel a bit higher towards the Shoja and Jalori Passes.

Jibhi has a respectable cell network and internet access. The best 4g networks in Jibhi are Jio and Airtel. Jibhi has nearly smooth cellphone and internet access.

The best time to visit Jibhi, however, is from the months of March to May, taking into account the local climate. It's that time of year when summer is just around the corner and the days are beautiful and the nights are cool.

By Air: The closest airport is 60 kilometres and two hours from Jibhi in the Kullu district of Bhuntar. From Bhuntar, a taxi costs around 2,200 for the one-way trip. Flying to Chandigarh and taking a cab (6,000 one-way) to Jibhi is a more affordable choice for a party. By Rail: The nearest train station is at Shimla, 150 kilometres and six hours south of Jibhi. Passengers must change trains at Kalka because there is no direct service between Delhi and Shimla, however there are several connections to ensure a comfortable journey (5 hr to Kalka and a further 5 hr to Shimla). Visitors can take advantage of the chance to ride the renowned "toy train" from Kalka to Shimla. From Shimla to Jibhi, a cab ride typically costs about 6,000. By Road: The easiest way to get to Jibhi is to take a bus from Delhi to Manali and get out at Aut. To acquire a cab from Aut, make arrangements with your lodging for a pickup ($1,000 one-way) or take a different bus to Banjar, which is 8 kilometres before Jibhi, and then a taxi from there. If you leave early in the morning, you should be able to complete the 520 km/12 hr journey to Banjar Valley if you are coming from Delhi. However, if a stop is necessary, Ambala or Chandigarh are both viable options.
