Climb Kumara Parvatha from different side and descend from different end. This is the Kumara Parvatha Circuit, specially designed for New Year 2024, ladies and gentlemen!
Kumara Parvatha, also popularly known as Pushpagiri (5624 feet above sea level), is the second-highest mountain belonging to the Western Ghats mountain ranges situated in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, after Tadiandamol. If compared to the other treks in this region, Kumara Parvatha is a little tougher, but, nonetheless, beautiful. The trekking trail runs through the Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, and you’ll be getting up close and personal with nature during this journey.
Considered one of the best treks in India, Kumara Parvatha should be there on your checklist if you are an adventure junkie – dare not to miss it out!
For New Year 2024: The mind-blowing adventure to ascend the peak of Kumara Parvatha, a mountain of such majestic beauty enveloped by an imposing atmosphere of serenity, is one such memory to gain while you enter into the New Year 2024. Notice that this New Year, seats are limited and will fill out on a First Come, First Serve basis. Also, be informed that this New Year is preceded by a weekend, so kindly check out the itinerary and book your seats at the earliest.

Brief Itinerary
Day 0 - Departure:
- Evening: Begin your journey from Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya via a comfortable coach or private vehicle.
Day 1 - Kumara Parvatha Trek Day
- 4:00 AM: Arrive in Kukke Subramanya and enjoy a refreshing break at the designated homestay.
- 5:30 AM: Savor a hearty breakfast to fuel your trek. We will provide you with a packed lunch for the trek.
- 6:00 AM: Embark on the Kumara Parvatha trek as early as possible to maximize daylight hours.
- 9:30 AM (Tentative): Reach the Forest Office checkpoint, marking a significant milestone in the trek.
- 2:00 PM: Arrive at the majestic Kumara Parvatha peak, Karnataka's crown jewel. Take a moment to celebrate your accomplishment and capture stunning panoramic views (see image below).
- 3:00 PM: Begin your descent on the Coorg side, traversing through the scenic landscape.
- 6:30 PM: Reach the forest camp, marking the completion of the challenging Kumara Parvatha trek.
- Evening: Return to the comfortable homestay, where a warm bonfire and a delicious dinner await to replenish your energy and foster camaraderie among fellow trekkers.
Day 2 - Visit Mallali Falls
- 8:30 AM: After a refreshing breakfast, leave the homestay and head towards Mallali Falls.
- Morning: Immerse yourself in the beauty of Mallali Falls, a hidden gem nestled amidst the verdant hills.
- Noon: Enjoy a self-sponsored lunch at a local restaurant.
- 10:30 PM (Approximate): Arrival at Bangalore | Tour ends

Leave from Bangalore at 8 pm (Final time will be updated in Whatsapp Group), get introduced to fellow adventurers and get a good night's sleep for a punching trek next day.

Professional Itinerary: Kumara Parvatha Trek
Arrival and Preparation:
- 4:00 AM: Arrival in Kukke.
- 5:30 AM - 6:00 AM: Refresh and enjoy a hearty breakfast at a nearby hotel (packed lunch will be provided for the trek).
- 6:30 AM: Depart for the KP trek base.
Trekking:
- 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM: Trek from the base to the Forest Office.
- 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM: Continue the trek to Kumara Parvatha Peak, the toughest in Karnataka.
- 2:00 PM: Enjoy a well-deserved lunch at the peak and celebrate your accomplishment.
Descent and Return:
- 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Descend from the Coorg side and arrive at the forest camp, marking the end of the KP trek.
- 6:30 PM - Onwards: Return to the homestay for a warm dinner and bonfire, fostering new friendships.
Trek Sections and Timings:
The trek can be divided into four sections based on distance and elevation gain:
- Section 1: Trek Base to Bhattaramane (4.5 km, 3 hours hours)
- Section 2: Bhattaramane to Shesha Parvatha (5.5 km, 4 hours)
- Section 3: Shesha Parvatha to Kumara Parvatha (1.5 km, 45 minutes)
- Section 4: Kumara Parvatha to Beedehalli Side (7 km descent, 3-3.5 hours)
Please Note:
- Timings are tentative and subject to group pace.
- Strict adherence to the trek schedule is crucial.
- The forest department will not allow further progress beyond the 2nd forest checkpost after 9:30 AM.
- In case you are a beginner and this is your first trek ever and you are not physically fit please refrain from joining on this trek

Today is a day to relax and reflect on your accomplishments. Take your time to pack your belongings, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and depart by 8:30 AM. Your first stop will be the enchanting Mallalli Falls.
Nestled in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, Mallalli Falls is a mesmerizing cascade that plunges over rocky cliffs. The Kumaradhara River, the lifeblood of this waterfall, embarks on a journey through Kukke Subrahmanya, eventually merging with the Netravati River at Uppinangadi, before emptying into the Arabian Sea at Mangalore.
Continue your onward journey towards Bangalore, stopping for a self-sponsored lunch along the way. As you savor the memories of your trek, take pride in conquering the most challenging trek in Karnataka, all within a single day.
Gather for a final dinner before bidding farewell to your fellow adventurers. Promise to reunite in the future, eager to embark on new and exciting expeditions together.

Policy and Terms
Refund/Cancellation Policy – Weekend Trips from Bangalore
In the event that YOU cancel your trek, this is the cancellation policy we follow:
Intimation Period* | Cancellation Fee** |
7 days or more | 10% of the total invoice value |
Between 3-6 days | 50% of the total invoice value |
Between 0-2 days | 100% of the total invoice value |
- *Intimation Period means the number of days before the tour is scheduled to start
- **Cancellation Fee is the amount of money that will be deducted from the total billing amount before offering the refund.
- Refund/Cancellation requests are accepted only by email at [email protected] and not via call or Whatsapp.
NOTE:
Cancellations on the day of departure or a day prior due to work/family emergencies, health issues, etc. would not be entertained, and no refund or transfer to further dates shall be allowed for the same.
If you are wanting to cancel out on the day of departure and move the trek to a future date an additional charge of RS 1500 would have to be incurred to make the movement to a future date. This can be availed only within 3 months from the date of the actual trip departure.
Additional charges would be deducted (based on from where you booked) if you cancel the trek at any given date (along with the scenario described above), as payment gateway/event listing charges.
Transfer of Dates Policy
If you wish to shift your date of booking due to any unforeseen circumstances, the same should be intimated to us not less than 72 hours before the date of the event. (Not valid for group or corporate bookings)
Only one transfer per booking shall be permitted. Your booking shall stand canceled if you fail to join the event on the transferred dates.
Once the option of data transfer is made, the booking amount shall be held as credits with us, and in no case will a refund be made further on.
Transfer of Dates is not valid for Bhutan, Meghalaya, Himalayan Treks, Spiti or any other event worth is above 5000/- INR.
Transfer of dates on the day of departure shall be possible at an additional charge of 1500/- per person (applicable for few events).

FAQ's
- I have booked the trek when will I get further updates regarding the trek?
Well, most of our treks are usually confirmed by Thursday and you would receive an Event Headsup mail that would contain details as regards Pickup Points ( Location and Timings ), Outdoor Leader ( Point of Contact ), Do’s, and Don’ts.
- Would I be added to a WhatsApp Group once the trek is confirmed?
Yes, the Event Headsup mail would contain a link to the WhatsApp Group through which one can join and interact with fellow travelers and outdoor leaders.
- Do I have any other boarding points apart from the ones mentioned?
Yes, we do have options for picking a traveler on board with a few locations provided they are on the route to our destination. The following are the same:
- Croma Store, Sony World Signal
- Yeshwanthpur Metro Station
- Do I have to carry luggage all the way during trekking?
Yes, you will have to carry luggage till Bhatrumane ( 7 km ) from trek starting point. After Bhatrumane you will carry only essentials for the trek
- What is "Without Travel" option during my booking process?
Well, if you select this option, all the travel arrangements for your entire itinerary must be managed by yourself, and Plan the Unplanned crew will not be managing anything related to your travel. We recommend you come via car for a smooth travel experience to, from and within the destination.

Yes, it’s much safe and sound. We have been organizing these treks over the years now and we always have had an equal ratio or sometimes we have women in the majority. We also have female outdoor leaders who are on board and lead the other trekking enthusiast. We have made sure our homestay/tent accommodation is separate for men and women.
- Would I be able to postpone to a future in case I do not attend the trek on the day of departure?
We are extremely sorry, you cannot postpone to any future date in case you fail to attend the trek on the mentioned date for any reasons whatsoever ( family/health/work emergencies ). You can write to us at [email protected] as regards and our team will get in touch with you on the same
Additional Information
- The provided tents and sleeping bags must be carried by the hikers until Bhatramane.
- Trekkers will also set up and take down the tents that have been provided for them, taking care to avoid damaging the tents in any way.
Depending on the group size, the group would travel in a tempo traveller/mini bus.
If the group size is 12 or less, it will be a tempo traveller; if the group size is 13 or more, it will be a mini bus.
Push back seats would be available on the Tempo Traveller/Mini Bus.
If you are not at ease, please select Without Travel and travel to your destination by private car.
We ask for your cooperation and understanding regarding the travel arrangements. - Consumption of alcohol, intoxicants and smoking would not be tolerated during the entire course of the journey and the trek. Kindly co-operate with us to make the experience more fun.
- Do not expect any luxuries on the trip. The locations that we host are at remote places and we do our best to arrange the basic facilities. The goal is to be outdoors.
- The Food that shall be provided will be Basic Veg Food. We do not serve Non-Veg Food.
- Put Litter in its place, do not trash your travel.
- Plan The Unplanned shall not be responsible for any of your belongings, valuables, jewellery etc. Kindly do take care.
- In the case of traffic delays or breakdowns, expect a little delay in reaching the destination.
