About The Trip
Gudibande, which literally translates to A temple on top of a rock in Kannada is a 17th Century fort built by a chieftain Byre Gowda. It is one of the most unexplored forts in this region and is said to be a concise replica of the Madhugiri Fort. Though the trail is not as daunting as the Madhugiri fort trail, the views from the top of the Gudibande fort are unmatched to any other. Atop the fort is an ancient Shiva temple that is home to one of the 108 Jyotirlingas. Once on the top, there’s plenty to explore around in the ruins all the while stunning views of the mighty Byrasagara reservoir accompany you. We’ll conclude the trip with a visit to the Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple at the foot of the Nandi Hills which is home to a pushkarni wherein you can get amazing fish spa while you get lost in the peace the temple offers.

Leave from Bangalore at 11:30 PM ( Day 0 ) Reach base village of Gudibande by 2 AM Start the ascent and reach the top by 3 AM (Approx) Enjoy the cold wind and settle down Enjoy the night views of the sleeping town of Gudibande And Play your way into the golden hour Descend back 8 AM Visit Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple Have breakfast on the way and head back to Bangalore

The general cancellation policy for weekend treks from Bangalore is listed below If you cancel before 7 days – 90% of the amount will be refunded If you cancel between 3 – 6 days – 50 % of the amount will be refunded If you cancel between 0-3 days – No Refund For all the above points you can transfer your ticket to anyone so that you could save your hard-earned money “Transfer to a future date is only possible only if you cancel between 3-6 days before the trek date and not on the day of departure or a day before”
