Kumara Parvatha Trek - Coorg

Kumarahalli, Karnataka 2 D / 1 N

About The Trip

If you are a person who loves to challenge your mind and body, the Kumara Parvatha trek is perfect for you! It is considered one of the more difficult treks in the South. But there’s no gain without some pain, so get ready to push yourself a little bit and we will be there to motivate you along the way to the top. Reach the top to witness the beautiful clouds along with the green landscapes of the Western ghats.

A landscape filled with lush green, pristine streams, and volcanic rock formations, Kumara Parvata is a place on the bucket list of every trekker and traveller. It is the second-highest peak after Tadiandamol in the Coorg region. Trekking in summers can sometimes get too tiring and sweaty, but the tall trees of the dense forests of the Western ghats provide a natural umbrella shielding you from the harsh rays of the sun, letting you enjoy and experience the best of nature. We will be ascending through the Somwarpet side and descending in the same way.

Note: The Kumara Parvatha Trek to and fro trail is from Somvarpet Side and not from Kukke Subramanya Side. Please note this before booking.

The Kumara Parvatha trek takes place from the end of the monsoon season till the beginning of the winter season (October - February). As a result, the Forest Department closes Kumara Parvatha every year from March 1 to September 30 as a preventative measure.

No, you cannot camp anywhere along the trail. Only the authorised area around the Forest Office is permitted for tent pitching.

No, it is not possible to trek Kumara Parvatha during the monsoon season.
