Plan The Unplanned presents to you a fun-filled adventure, popular one-day trekking near Bangalore Antharagange Trek with Cave Exploration. Antharagange literally translates to “The Ganges from the deep” and is located around seventy kilometers from Bangalore in the Kolar District of Karnataka which lies in the Shathashrunga range. A mountain with an altitude of 1712 meters from sea level hosting rocky boulders and small caves all set to be explored which is wrapped with a dense plantation. Antargange is known as the Kashi of the south as it is home to the famous Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple. The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva has a pond with a continuous flow of underground water from the Basava/Stone bull’s mouth. The mountain is also home to seven villages. Anthargange is a perfect one day getaway into nature for a small trek, some adrenaline-filled rock climbing, and exploring ancient caves! Also, the view from the top is picturesque.

Well, most of our treks are usually confirmed by Thursday and you would receive a BON VOYAGE mail that would contain details as regards Pickup Points ( Location and Timings ), Outdoor Leader ( Point of Contact ), Do’s and Don’ts. You’ll be added to Whatsapp Group for all further updates.

The interesting thing about travelling alone is that you get to meet new people from diverse backgrounds, and towards the end, you are no longer strangers. Safety and security are our priority at all times. Hence it is safe for women/girls to join us on our treks and travels. Our trek leaders accompany the team at all times, and our campsites are secured and safe for accommodation. We also have female trek leaders who accompany us on most of our treks.

Not at all. You could keep all the extra luggage back at the campsite/homestay and carry only the necessary stuff for the trek (Raincoats, Torchlight, Waterbottle, lunchbox, and your valuable)

Well, you are in the mountains and none of our trails has a washroom facility during the trek.

Well, if you select this option, all the travel arrangements for your entire itinerary must be managed by yourself, and Plan the Unplanned crew will not be managing anything related to your travel. We recommend you come via car for a smooth travel experience to, from and within the destination.

It will take around 4 hours and 6 kilometres to finish the Anthargange trip. The fairly challenging journey will lead you through rocky terrain, caves, and volcanic structures. For this walk, you should be in average physical shape.

This trek can be covered by any kind of person. Moreover, it is an easy-moderate trek. Although the route is not well-marked, the trek leaders would guide you through. Along with this, you will cover most of the course by walking and jumping on obstacles.

This is a one-day trek. So it won’t be possible to leave the luggage at the homestay. You can leave it on the bus and carry the necessary for the trek

No, it is not filled with leeches

In Anthargange, the winter season lasts from December through to February, the monsoon lasts from June through to November, and the summer season lasts from March through to May. You may participate in adventure sports, road excursions, and other adventure activities during this period and take in the beautiful scenery. However, the best months to travel are from October through the end of March. An Anthargange walk now would be ideal because summer is about to end, and chilling air is beginning to blow.

No, you cannot camp anywhere along the trail.

The monsoon season brings a lot of rain to the area. Because it becomes extremely challenging to navigate the steep areas during the rains, we advise you to avoid it.

>Consumption of alcohol, intoxicants, and smoking would not be tolerated during the entire course of the journey and the trek. Kindly co-operate with us to make the experience more fun. >Do not expect any luxuries on the trip. The locations that we host are in remote places and we do our best to arrange the basic facilities. The goal is to be outdoors. >The Food that shall be provided will be Basic Veg Food. We do not serve Non-Veg Food. >Put Litter in its place, do not trash your travel. >Plan The Unplanned shall not be responsible for any of your belongings, valuables, jewelry, etc. Kindly do take care. >In the case of traffic delays or breakdowns, expect a little delay in reaching the destination.
