Fantastic, you decided to come to Wonderful Bali Backpacking Tour. Pack your luggage, bask in Indonesian perfume, and summersault in Bali. Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport from your base city, where we will pick you up and transfer you to a hotel.

Check-in and freshen up. Day 1 is for resting, meeting co-travellers and getting tuned to the culture, climate, food and new habits. Your leader will brief you about the whole trip, and then you are free to spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Lunch and Dinner are self-sponsored.

Day 2: Visit Tanjung Benoa, Turtle Island, Uluwatu. Immerse in the drama of Kecak dance.

Food Inclusion: Breakfast, Dinner

Welcome to Day 2 of Bali Backpacking Tour. Wake up to a crisp morning. Freshen up and get ready; breakfast will be served in the hotel at 8:00 am. Have a good meal; day two will start with a bang. We will start our trip with South Bali.

At 9 am, we will leave the hotel for adventure therapy in Tanjung Benoa. Here, we will visit Turtle Island and do Glass bottom boating activities. The best way to tour Turtle Island is to hop on Glass bottom boats made of translucent glass bottom. We will be taken approximately 400 m inside the sea to enjoy the underwater scenery.

It is interesting to note that Turtle Island is not an island but a green turtle breeding area. The green turtle is one of the rare animals protected by the Indonesian government. The Indonesian government collaborates with the local community, who earlier worked as fishermen. Learn about green turtles, pythons, birds, and many other animals.

Furthermore, Tanjung Benoa Bali is a centre for water sports for beginners. Many watersports like banana boating and jet skiing are carried out here (All water activities here are self-sponsored.)

Next, we will go to Melasti Beach, the southernmost point in Bali. The drive to the beach is filled with views of limestone cliffs, snakey roads and sharp bends. It is a new beautiful beach with turquoise waters.

We will stop somewhere for self-sponsored lunch.

We will go to Uluwatu Temple, locally known as Pura Luhur, meaning something of divine origin. Perched on top of a cliff approximately 70 metres above sea level. Ulu means “land’s end”, and watu means “rock” in an old language. This is one of Bali’s nine key directional temples.

Then, we will wait to experience sunset and  Kecak Fire Dance at Uluwatu in the evening. The dance form is the most iconic art performance at the amphitheatre beside the Uluwatu temple. This dance performance features fire and human vocals for added drama in place of traditional gamelan instruments of Java and Bali.

After the show is over, we will go to have dinner at an Indian Food restaurant. Then, we return to the stay and freshen up. You can catch up with your new buddies before retiring. Sleep tight. Day three is going to be lengthy.

Day 3: Visit Ulun Danu, Wanagiri Hills, Taman Ayun, Tanah Lot

Food Inclusion: Breakfast, Dinner

You must be hung up from the previous day’s memories. Freshen up; we will explore other great locations. Breakfast will be served at 8 am.

After breakfast, we will start at 9 am, Ulun Danu or floating temple. It is a Hindu Shaivite temple on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. People come here to check out Balinese temple architecture.

Then we will go to the picture-perfect spot in Bali: Wanagiri Hill, which features a view of Bedugul Twin Lake. We will spend some time here before moving to our next stop in Taman Ayun

Temples are known as ‘Pura’ in the local language. Located in the Mengwi village, Pura Taman Ayun is set on land surrounded by a big fish pond because of which it is named ‘Garden Temple in the Water’. It has religious and spiritual significance, for it is one of the six royal temples in Bali and was constructed in the 17th century.

Next on our list and last for the day is the Tanah lot, where you can click beautiful pictures. It is home to a unique temple standing on a rock in the middle of the ocean.

After spending some moments here, we’ll return to our base. En route, we will stop for dinner at an Indian food restaurant. Then you will be free to spend time as you wish; we advise you to retire early to make maximum day 4.

Note: Lunch will be at your own expense.

Day 4: North and Central Bali Backpacking Tour: Kintamani, Ubud, Tirta Empul, Aloha Swing

Food Inclusion: Breakfast, Dinner

Wake up to the alarm, freshen up, wear your best clothes and come for breakfast at 8 am. Today we will explore North and central Bali. At 9 am, we will start for Tirta Empul, meaning Holy Spring in Balinese. The temple consists of a bathing structure for ritual purification. After spending some time in Pura Tirta Empul, we will go to Kintamani

Kintamani is a town standing on the edge of an active volcano, Mt. Batur, last erupted in 2000. The peak is 1717 m above sea level and offers breathtaking views of Lake Batur and surrounding mountains.

Next up on the list is Aloha Ubud Swing. This place features different swings, including Libra Swing, Single Swing, Tandem Swing, Bed Swing, Adrenaline Swing, Cute Bird Nest, Chicken Nest and big stone. You can click jaw-dropping pictures inside butterfly park. You can also rent a dress directly at the Aloha Swing and get yourself clicked by a professional photographer (self-sponsored).

Next, we will capture the heart and cultural capital of Bali, Ubud. It is a town abundant in natural beauty, cultural heritage and spirituality. We will mostly spend our time in the Ubud Center, hopping cafes and shopping.

After spending some hours here, we will return to our base and have dinner at an Indian restaurant on the way.

Day 5: West Island Tour in Nusa Penida

Food Inclusion: Breakfast, Dinner

Wake up; today is the most exciting day of the Bali Backpacking Tour. We are going for a West Island Tour in Nusa Penida. We will serve breakfast at 8 am; eat nicely. After this, we will go to Sanur Harbor and check-in. Later, depart to Nusa Penida. It is a gorgeous island housing 60000 inhabitants and is at a distance of 45 minutes by boat from the island of Bali.

First stop in Nusa Penida is Angel Billabong. Framed by big rocks on both sides, Angel Billabong is an infinity pool famous for its emerald hues and crystalline waters.

Near Angel Billabong is a Broken beach/Pasih Uug. It is an incredible cove with unique limestone formations. The naturally formed rock lagoon offers a scenic seascape. It is called Broken Beach because of the archway that wraps around the bay, allowing water to flow in and out from the ocean.

Next, we will visit Kelingking Secret Point, which translates to the smallest finger in hand for its shape. Its shape also resembles Tyrannosaurus Rex. It is a picture-perfect location.

The last attraction on our list is Crystal Bay. It is one of the most popular snorkelling and diving spots in Nusa Penida, as it has stunning corals, exotic fishes and the rare Mola Mola fish from time to time.

At 3 pm, we will depart from the island and transfer to the harbour. At 4:30 pm, we will leave back to Bali. En route, we will stop for dinner at a local Indonesian restaurant.

Day 6: Indulge in White Water Rafting and ATV Ride. Village Exploration

Food Inclusion: Breakfast, Dinner

Get ready by 8 am, eat breakfast and get ready for fun. We will transfer to Ayung Dewata for some adventurous White Water Rafting.

Later at 1 pm, we will go for a nerve-wracking ATV ride. Here we will also explore the village and enjoy vastly growing rice fields.

At 7 pm, we will have dinner at an Indian Restaurant and drop back at the hotel. Play as much as possible, make memories, discuss life, or sit silently gazing at stars.

Day 7: Departure from Bali

Food Inclusion: Breakfast

Today is the last day of the Bali Backpacking Tour. Day 7 will be similar to every day: get ready by 8 am, eat breakfast and get ready for fun. Only an obnoxious feeling will keep coming back. Cheers to the seven days we spent together. Plan the Unplanned team will miss you. Indeed it is heartbreaking to let you go from the Bali Backpacking Tour. Still, after these seven alluring days filled with surprises, culture, and learnings about local life, we will let you go to rest for some days.
