Sharavathi Valley Trek - Two Day Itinerary

Day 0Depart for Sharavathi

We’ll start from Bengaluru in an AC/push Back seater bus at approx 9 PM. Once everyone is on board, we’ll have some fun ice-breaking sessions to know everyone else in the group and ensure we all have fun together.

Day 1Sharavathi Trek

We’ll reach the homestay at around 7 AM. We’ll drop off unwanted luggage and freshen up. Have the delicious breakfast served at the campsite and head straight for the long trek ahead. The trek initially deceives you with a flat out grassland with no dense forests etc. But the landscapes flip pretty quickly and soon you will find yourselves in the middle of dense forests crossing wide streams of water. Passing through forests in monsoons can be a tricky affair and one needs to be adept at figuring out paths if the existing trails are washed out. Don’t worry about the experience of trek guides, this shouldn’t be a problem. After about 6 Hours of the trek on such trail which includes the breathtaking views of the linganamakki backwaters, you will be greeted with the majestic views of Jog Falls.

Sharavathi Camping - Plan The Unplanned 2

After capturing the views in your mind and camera, we head back to the homestay for dinner and campfire.

Day 2Explore Sharavathi Backwater & Ikkeri Keladi Temples

Wake up to the chirps of rare bird species, take a stroll around the campsite. If the weather is cooperative, we’ll get into the backwaters for a swim. Once freshened up, have the delicious breakfast and head back to Bangalore with loads of memories in mind and fun-filled music sessions.
